Today I saw America as others must see it. What led me to this eye-opening, nauseating vision was a combination of events:

• I saw Sicko for the first time on Friday
• I watched Shock Doctrine by Alfonso Cuaron and Naomi Klein.
• I watched Grand Canyon.
  

Two things are clear.

1. This is a crime that has been perpetrated on us slowly, and has been going on for decades.
2. They have profited. We have suffered.
